Enhancements
Through the years, in order to be different and competitive, insurance companies developed coverage "enhancements," extra benefits that were created to further differentiate themselves. As years went by, these "enhancements" slowly became standard, and were expected whenever quoting competitively. Most insurance brokers are not as familiar with some of the "enhancements" as E.G. Bowman, and in keeping with our long history of comprehensive knowledge and stellar servicing, we always inform our clients of the latest benefits available to them. Whenever possible, we include them in most travel policies, when they make sense and also meet "real-world" needs, while at the same time, supporting the overall Benefits Plan.

The following are the types of "Enhancements," common to standard Travel Accident policies:

Spouse
Originally, "enhancements" were developed to provide the insured with added coverage, as well as instilling a "peace-of-mind" to both the victims and their families. For the spouse, "enhancements" such as a Bereavement & Trauma Counseling Benefit, was developed to offset the cost of therapy and counseling - necessary tools essential to the emotional healing process.
In the event that one's spouse would either become permanently incapacitated, or die from a travel-related accident, the Spouse Training Benefit was developed for those individuals who need training for new job skills. And for those victims of an accident-induced coma, their spouse would receive a Coma Benefit, another means of off-setting the extensive hospital costs for such a situation.
Again, E.G. Bowman's knowledge of the "enhancements" available to you is comprehensive, and we will continue to maintain our long-standing tradition of excellence in service to our clients.

Children
Through the years, Bowman has truly distinguished itself from other brokers, in acknowledging and respecting the concerns of those companies, who value the well-being of their employees, and their families. In the event of a major or even catastrophic accident, perhaps the insured's most pressing concern, is the welfare of their children - will they be taken of, and how?
"Enhancements," such as a Child Care Benefit, address those very concerns, by providing the insured, the necessary assistance for the care of younger children, in this time of stress.
There is also the College Education Benefit, which alleviates concerns of many, who perhaps fear that a serious or fatal accident to one of the main income earners, may deprive their children the opportunity for higher education. Extra benefits such as these, in conjunction with the basic Travel Accident policy, allow employers and their staff the peace of mind necessary to freely conduct their day-to-day affairs, knowing that their family concerns have been addressed.

In the event of burns received from an accident, the Burn Benefit insures the victim of receiving the finest care possible, at any one of the premier burn centers around the country.
With the Rehabilitation Benefit, victims of serious accidents needing extensive physical therapy, can rest assured that they will be assisted in managing these costs.
The Surgical Reattachment Benefit provides coverage for this highly specialized surgery.

Special Enhancements
Special Enhancements that are available to the insured, are not exactly common knowledge. We at E.G. Bowman, however take great pride in knowing exactly how those special benefits can truly help your employees and their families in their time of need!
For instance, the Adaptive Home & Vehicle Benefit, can greatly aid newly-handicapped victims of a serious accident, by defraying the cost of work needed to be done, on their home or vehicle.
The Emergency Evacuation Benefit applies to that individual who, after experiencing a travel-related accident, becomes incapacitated and requires an evacuation. This can occur if either the accident site proves difficult to approach, or perhaps the victim is situated in a locale that does not have sufficient medical facilities, such as, a first-rate burn center, to treat the victim.
The Repatriation of Remains Benefit, pertains to fatal accidents occurring abroad. This "enhancement" provides assistance to relatives who need to have the remains of their loved one, shipped home.
If an employee is involved in a fatal automobile accident, the Seat Belt & Air Bag Benefit, provides extra financial assistance to the relatives of the deceased if the victim used either the seat belt, or if the air bag was inflated properly upon impact.
